Meet our Ancona x Cayuga Ducks
Welcome to the duck side of Bootsy Garden. Our Ancona x Cayuga ducks are a unique hybrid that brings together the best of both breeds: striking feather patterns, a calm temperament, and beautiful dark-toned eggs. Raised on our small homestead in Chiloquin, Oregon, these ducks are not just productive. They are part of the family.
Ancona ducks are known for their quirky black-and-white coloring and strong foraging instincts. Cayugas, with their stunning iridescent black feathers and gentle nature, are beloved for their quiet personalities and their ability to lay rich charcoal-colored eggs. Our Ancona x Cayuga cross ducks combine those traits beautifully.
They are:
Cold hardy, and well-suited for Southern Oregon’s climate
Excellent foragers who help manage pests naturally
Friendly, calm, and easy to care for
Great layers of eggs that range from gray to greenish tones
Each duck has its own look and personality, making them truly one of a kind.

They share their space with chickens and will eventually welcome a few Muscovy friends too. We are constantly learning from them and love how much joy they bring to the farm.
